Earlier this year pianist Kenneth Hamilton and Steinway’s Ulrich Gerhartz ventured to Steinway's famous Hamburg factory to choose a new concert grand for the Barber Institute of Fine Arts. They had to choose from eight pianos, each with strikingly different musical personalities. In this special event for the Festival, Kenneth and Ulrich offer you the rare chance to gain insight into how to select a piano and hear performances of works used as test pieces on the day.
