Messiaen Visions de l'Amen

Messiaen’s Visions de L’Amen is a colossal affirmation of faith in the face of inhumanity and the first work the composer wrote upon his release as a prisoner of war.┬áPealing bells and birdsong, angels and saints, and creation and the cosmos come to life in an intoxicating fusion of mystical fervour and earthly passion, all conjured up by internationally celebrated pianist Benjamin Frith and Department of Music PhD student Liang Shan.
